This interface – based on the original iSimple TranzIt for iPod and iPhone – utilizes an “antenna bypass” to send a signal directly into any FM car stereo. All the driver has to do is designate a radio preset (87.9 or 88.3FM) as a “playback channel,” plug in his/her smartphone via a 3.5mm audio connector, connect the USB charger and start the music. To browse and select tracks, or use Internet radio stations like Pandora, the operator simply uses the devices standard buttons or touch screen controls. And, because the iSimple TranzIt is “hardwired” to the vehicle (professional installation is recommended) so the audio quality is extraordinary.
